"What does healing mean to you? There are many types of healing"

I recently got asked by a friend of mine, "What does healing mean to you? There are many types of healing"

I answered impromptu, and realised that I had given an answer so profound that it would be beneficent for everyone here to read and learn from. So I share it in the hope that it benefits somebody here.

Bless you all dearly.

Healing for me, is about many things. But at the cornerstone, linchpin and crux of it, is letting go. Like an air balloon, we rise when we jettison the weights that put us down. Those weights that may be pulling us down and away from our true potential, and depriving us of our inner sense of peace, can include grudges, resentment, hatred, hurt, indignation, umbrage, disappointment, jealousy, and anger.

We can choose to let go of those pernicious traitors that seek to sap our souls of their purity, our minds of their Peace, and our hearts of their immanent unconditional love towards all. When we do so, like a hollow pebble hurled into a river, we rise to the surface and feel the inclement breeze of the atmosphere prickle our skin at sea-air boundary, savoring the marvelous view of the beauteous, sunny sky.
